We present as many as 201 rated colleges including Top Engineering Colleges of Karnataka in 2014 here.

After Maharashtra, the state has 117 institutes offering the highest number of Electrical Engineering programmes in India. The highest number of 100-odd Industrial and Production Engineering branches in the country, is offered by 25 institutes in Karnataka. For a large state, there is only one Institute of National Importance – NIT Surathkal, which is rated (AAAA+) at par with IIIT-Bangalore and Manipal University’s Institute of Technology. Bangalore’s RV College, MS Ramaiah and PES Institute, all follow with AAAA rating among the Top Engineering Colleges in Karnataka 2014. The recent years have seen a growth in colleges offering disciplines such as Biotechnology, and Information Science. Very recently, institutes such as Reva, MS Ramaiah, Alliance and PES have extended their core competence in engineering science and technology to emerge as new private universities in the state.
